This year’s tournament carries special meaning as we honor Bill Martin, who has served Patty Jewett Golf Course as a PGA Professional since May 1, 1988 — 38 years of dedication to Colorado Springs golf. Bill has shaped generations of players, supported families, mentored juniors, and built the kind of community spirit this event represents. Every team, every swing, every donation helps carry his legacy forward.

Colorado’s seniors are being left behind — and the numbers prove it. Adults 65+ face nearly a 6 % unemployment rate, compared to about 4% for younger workers.
Social Security checks no longer cover rent, medical needs, or basic living expenses. Too many seniors are slipping into housing insecurity, isolation, and depression after a lifetime of hard work.
That’s why Silver Seniors exists.

We research and advocate for subsidized housing, rent support, and financial relief for adults 65 and over, ensuring they have access to safe, stable, and dignified living conditions.

And through our partnership with the Silver Seniors Community Workforce, we hire seniors 55 and over to bring them into a supportive community culture where they can stay active, connected, and purposeful.
​
Every project completed by our workforce contributes 10% directly to the Outreach Foundation, strengthening our ability to help seniors who are struggling with rent and essential needs.
Our seniors deserve more than survival. They deserve dignity, stability, and a decent roof over their head — supported by a community that values their experience and their humanity.
